Welcome to TheDigiFix.com! A brand-new web design studio located in the heart of Southwest Oklahoma, The DigiFix is the first of its kind in these parts. Let me take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Heather McKelvey, otherwise known as Heather Kate, and I have been a web designer and web developer since 2004. As the Founder and Executive Director of The DigiFix, I am the one who does most of the graphic design for our clients, and I also build the websites. My husband Bill takes care of the tedious operational and financial details so that I can focus on the fun part--the web!
The DigiFix has been a vision of mine for over two years, and I have been waiting for just the right moment in time to focus all of my career energies into such a venture. Over the past several years I have been dreaming and brainstorming, trying to decide just what it is I want to do with the skills I have honed since moving out here in the Western Plains. I love all things web, and there seemed to be a vast lack of web “culture” in these parts. The days of old-school, hard-to-navigate websites are over, and I long for our pioneering region to catch on to the Web 2.0 spirit. I consider it my personal challenge to be an agent of change in bringing accessibility, usability, and just plain beauty to the websites produced for people in the Southwest.
